Owls chairman on trial for tax evasion

Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric has appeared in the dock today to face trial for tax evasion alongside Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp.

The duo are at Southwark Crown Court charged with cheating the public revenue during their time at Portsmouth.

The case centres on payments totalling around £183,000, allegedly made by the Owls chairman to Mr Redknapp whilst the pair worked together at Fratton Park.

Both deny the charges and the trial is expected to last for two weeks.

The HMRC must be one of the most inefficient. wasteful bunch of jokers going, the millions their cock ups must cost the country has got to be a priority to sort out, not getting in the limelight trying to wind up football clubs and chasing a few quid from honest harry and our saviour!! I've spend hours on hold with the HMRC over the last few days trying to get them to sort out a cock up on my new tax code, I don't hold much hope in the new one they're sending to be right.
