Owls fans flock for derby tickets

Next month's Steel City derby clash at Hillsborough is close to a sell-out with Wednesday fans flocking to buy tickets for the much-anticipated game this week.

The club announced that less than 4,500 tickets remained for home fans yesterday afternoon but that number is understood to have almost halved overnight.

The North Stand is showing up as having sold out on the Owls' online ticketing system and tickets for all areas of the ground are expected to sell-out this week - possibly even today.

Tickets only went on general sale on Monday but Wednesdayites have wasted no time in booking their seats for what's sure to be a vital clash.

On top of local bragging rights, both sides are battling it out for promotion from npower League One and the game is set to be crucial for both sides.

A small number of tickets are still showing online as available so Owls fans are encouraged to buy sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

They can be booked in person at the Owls Megastore, on the phone by ringing 0871 900 1867 or on the Owls online ticket website at www.swfc.co.uk/tickets.

Gonna be a great atmosphere just hope the police don't put on stupid restictions on seating and give more owls fans chance to buy tickets
