Big night for Owls in League One

Big night for Owls in League One

It's a massive night of football on Valentine's Day in npower League One with the top-six going head-to-head.

Wednesday, placed second in the table going into tonight, face a big match of their own at home against sixth-placed form side Stevenage.

But there are other big matches in the promotion race at the top of the table.

Arguably the biggest is Sheffield United's trip to Huddersfield Town. The Blades sit third in the table, with the Terriers fourth. Victory for United, coupled with anything but a win for the Owls, would see the red and white half of Sheffield move up into the automatic promotion spots.

Elsewhere, current leaders Charlton Athletic host fifth-placed MK Dons at The Valley.

It's going to be an interesting night of action and one that could have a big impact on how things pan out at the top end of the division this season.

All of tonight's matches kick-off at 7.45pm.

Hopeful results will go for us tonight... with the top six playing each other I wouldn't mind to see two draws and a confident win for the Wednesday. Been reading the thread in regards to our last game and there are many good points made but the men on the pitch are the ones that need to do the business. I wouldn't change the back 5 as I think that's the best we have while Reda's suspended if Llera is ok. I would like to see changes in regards to the midfield and the strikers however... Lowe to start with O'grady playing in behind him Semedo, Bostock and Prutton in the middle with JJ just told to go and try to cause havoc where ever he feels like it. (on the pitch obviously) Madine and MJ to change things up if needed taking Prutton and JJ off.... All that being said, doesn't really matter who we send out if their heads aren't in it!! The one thing I would stand firm with though is Madine hasn't shown enough to earn his shirt recently and I don't think he should start. On their day the players we have and the team we field should be able to rip teams apart with a physical, slick and focussed style of football we've all seen a glimpse of for painfully short spells... I hope they the mightly blue and white take the field and show what it means to them and for us tonight... it's valentines day and it's always been about heart first... if you want it lads then you are going to have to take it from someone else and want in more!!
