Burton joins Owls from Baggies

The restructuring of Wednesday's coaching staff has continued today with the appointment of Terry Burton as a first team coach.

The experienced 59-year-old moves to Hillsborough from Premier League side West Bromwich Albion and is set to be on the bench for Wednesday's home clash against Bury tomorrow night.

New manager Dave Jones brought Burton to the club - the pair worked together for six years at Cardiff City.

He has a vast knowledge and experience of the British game. He was appointed youth team coach at Arsenal at the age of just 24 and went on to work for Wimbledon and Watford.

He used to be Dave Jones assistant during his time at Cardiff so maybe this means that Christ Evans will stay on as assistant at Wednesday?!

Jesus? It'll be a miracle if he's still here after Easter (geddit??)

I urge everyone who reads this to check out the BBC site and listen to Gary Megson's interview with Pat Murphy.

As you urged me to I did just as you said OurMaurice... I'm glad he kept his head down intially and calmed down as I bet he was angry and upset after everything that kicked off. He's come out of this as we would hope, with honour and the respect of the ever present SWFC which is the support. I hope he gets the chance in the future again to manage us... I just hope it's not when we are on the slide and need a savior. (I hope the next time he gets a fair crack at it!) UTGMO

In regards to what remains and the 12 games left the team will get my full support tonight and for the rest of the season whoever is pulling the strings, I can't imagine that what I will see tonight is going to be much different to what I've seen in recent months as DJ hasn't had long to have an impact. What I would say though if Milan is really serious for this season Megson aside he needs to help the team by freshening things up a little. Luke Varney wants away from trobubled portsmouth and "Colin" wants him at Leeds... well Milan that's the sort of player we need go get him!! Put your money where your mouth is... I would say ask Dave if he wants him first but by the sounds of it that's not how players are signed at Wednesday at the moment. I think perm contracts signed by Varney and Koumas (Short term) with loan signings of Earnshaw and another loan player would arm us for a proper push... come on MM show us we deserve your trust??!!! WTID WAWAW KTF (Oh and I hear there may be some players on the cheap at Rangers and they are about the same level as us so there may be some bargins to be had?!)

Think I got a little confused... meant that Milan needs to show us he deserves our trust! Oooppsss... UTO

Good ole Meggo. I agree with 4eva totally, he's done himself and the supporters proud by not being bitter (which I add, would you blame him for being angry?). Let's hope that once the club is back on familiar ground and Milan has flown the coup to pastures new that he (GM) comes back to his beloved club to once again push us further forward. As for the present, come on DJ, time to step up to the plate and be counted. Get our club promoted to where it belongs (for now). Onwards and upward. WTID UTO.

Shame he didn't bring Brunty with him ;-)

To true Seattle would be nice to see him back.... I was hoping that if Rangers were going bust we could get Madjid back, however found out unfortunately they sold him in the summer for 1.7million. I'd have Woody back and Whelan as well. Actually if I was talking about getting players back that have played in the Blue and White though that are still playing the list would be very long and we'd have a top of the championship/prem team. (It was just as shame they never all played for the club at the same time.) UTO

Mervan Celik is one of the first players to leave rangers.... attacking midfielder under 21 level for Sweeden!! No club lined up for him... now come on Milan there's a bargin to be had... give him a 15 game contract NOW!!! UTO
