Football League confirm play-off dates

The dates for this season's Football League play-off semi-finals have today been confirmed.

Wednesday fans will be keeping everything crossed that they can overtake Sheffield United and secure automatic promotion from npower League One.

If not, the Owls are likely to face their first-leg play-off game on Friday, May 11 (kick-off 7.45pm) away from home - having already secured at least a third-place finish.

The second leg will take place at Hillsborough on Monday, May 14 (kick-off 7.45pm).

Third will play sixth and fourth will play fifth for a place in the final at Wembley Stadium, to be played on Saturday, May 26 (kick-off 3pm).

Semi-final dates:

1st Leg (6 v 3) - Friday 11th May 2012, kick-off 7.45pm

1st Leg (5 v 4) - Saturday 12th May 2012, kick-off 12.45pm

agreed. As much as the playoffs are a lottery, there are a few teams fighting for 6th place that we have awful records against. the main one being carlisle. the playoffs are by no means a guarantee of promotion!

What are the chances of us getting Antonio on a permanent deal now that Reading are back in the big time? Is it one of those 'If we go up, we might get him' jobs? Or might we get him anyway?
