Owls fans snapping up Wycombe tickets

Tickets for the Owls' final match of the season against Wycombe Wanderers are selling fast - with the club advising fans to buy tickets sooner rather than later.

Over 21,000 tickets have already been bought for the contest, matching the take-up of Sheffield derby tickets at S6, and the game is all-set to be a sell-out as things stand.

Ticket Office manager Alastair Wilson said: 'There was a high demand for this game prior to the weekend but we have been inundated since the win over Carlisle on Saturday.

'The pattern so far is very similar to the Sheffield United game, where many supporters missed out on tickets, so I would advise our fans to ensure they purchase their tickets as soon as possible.

'We fully expect this game to completely sell out to Wednesdayites.'

The game could be crucial if Wednesday manage to take the fight for automatic promotion into the final day of the season and Wednesdayites should buy their tickets in advance to avoid missing out.

They can be bought from the Owls Megastore, by telephone on 0871 900 1867 or online at www.swfc.co.uk/tickets.

I hope the home allocation includes a major chunk of Leppings Lane, I can't imagine Wycombe bringing enough fans to fill that end somehow. Why not restrict them the northwest corner? Should be big enough and if it isn't, tough. Wednesdayites should have priority.

The latest talk is of a total sell-out for three sides of the ground and about 570 Wycombe fans 'filling' Leppings Lane. This is joke shop organization if true.
