Bullen to return as Owls youth coach

Former Wednesday captain Lee Bullen is set to return to Hillsborough as a youth coach on a permanent basis next season.

The Scot, who lifted the League One play-off trophy with the Owls, has been hinting for a while that he's set for a role on the coaching staff at Middlewood Road from next term.

The 41-year-old took his coaching badges while he was at the club as a player and has already taken some sessions with the Owls Academy this season.

But the club will announce Bullen as a more permanent member of the youth coaching set-up for next season, where he'll work alongside Owls Academy boss Sean McAuley.

McAuley told the Sheffield Star: "Lee has done some sessions already and we will make it more formal from next season.'

He was a coach at Scottish club Falkirk at the start of the season but quit the job before Christmas. He has an estate-agent business, Spencers, in Sheffield and will also continue to be involved in that with his partner.
