Owls reveal pre-season schedule

Wednesday have revealed their summer schedule, with friendly games against West Brom and Doncaster Rovers following a trip to warmer climes in Portugal.

The Owls' pre-season trip to Portugal will commence on Wednesday, July 18 and Dave Jones's men will play matches against as-yet unknown opposition on Saturday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 24. The trip will also be used as a training camp to help prepare his men for the 2012-13 Championship season.

Before that, Wednesday's pre-season matches will kick-off with a local double header against Sheffield FC and Stocksbridge Park Steels on Tuesday, July 17. As is usually the case, Jones is expected to split his squad for the matches, which both kick-off at 7.30pm.

On the squad's return from Portugal, Doncaster Rovers will provide the friendly opposition at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday, July 28 (kick-off 3pm).

Preparations will come to a conclusion against Premier League West Brom at Hillsborough Saturday, August 4 (kick-off 3pm).

Part of the Owls' summer schedule will also include a club community and fun day, as well as the launch of the new away kit, on Saturday, July 14 at Hillsborough.
