Who Are Yer?: Leeds United

Who Are Yer?: Leeds United

Wednesday will hope to put the disappointment of the midweek Carling Cup drubbing behind them as they face Yorkshire rivals Leeds United at Hillsborough. We ask Whites fan Andy about his side's summer signings, Kevin Blackwell and more.

--------------------------------------------

1. What has your start to the season been like?

Very dissapointing, basically carried on the same from where we finished last season!

2. Who have you brought to Elland Road over the summer?

Geoff Horsfield (on loan from Colin!) / Ian Westlake / Sebastien Carole / Kevin Nicholls / Hayden Foxe and various
other non-descripts!

3. We've actually won at the Millennium Stadium, what was it like to lose? (sorry!)

Fantastic day ruined by 90 minutes of 'football'.

4. How do you think you'll fair this season?

I think last season flattered us somewhat, we were very mediocre towards the end of the season. Play-offs is about the best we can expect but if we carry on as we are we'll be in a relegation dogfight.

5. Ken Bates has been amusing us with his antics recently - have the Leeds fans warmed to him yet?

I think the Leeds fans understand if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have a club although the pricing policy has upset some. Personally I like him you know what you are getting and he tells it like it is.

6. Are the majority of fans behind Kevin Blackwell?

An emphatic NO. I'm afraid he's taken us as far as he can. Done a good job but time to move on I think. If we can get Ranieri that will be a masterstroke from Ken.

7. Who are your danger men?

Usual suspects, Healy, Blake (if he can be bothered) & Sean Derry as far as your players are concerned.

8. What are your weak links?

Can't possibly tell you that!

9. What's your most memorable Wednesday V Leeds match?

Last year at home was pretty good (shall we do a bounce for you?). Has to be the 6-1 win at your place in the 91/2 season broadcast live to the nation!

10. How do you think we'll do this season?

In all honesty mid-table obscurity is the best you can hope for. Hate to say it
but I'm thinking that's probably where we'll end up.

11. What's your prediction for the result?

Setting myself up here but after your performance against Wrexham I'm predicting
a slender 1-0 win to Leeds. Enjoy the day (not too much!) and good luck for the rest of the season.

--------------------------------------------

Cheers Andy, good luck for the remainder of the season (after Sunday of course!), and hopefully we'll be able to repay some of that 91/2 season drubbing for the Sky cameras!
