Owls complete Mattock signing

Wednesday have signed former West Brom defender Joe Mattock on a free transfer.

The full-back was released by the Premier League club this summer and Owls boss Dave Jones has made the 22-year-old his third summer signing following the arrivals of Chris Kirkland and Kieran Lee.

Mattock has penned a three-year deal with Wednesday and has plenty of Championship experience, aiding the Baggies to promotion to the top flight.

He started his career with Leicester City before West Brom paid £1 million for his services in 2009. Loan spells with Sheffield United, Portsmouth and Brighton have followed.

He's also represented England at under-17, U19 and U21 level.
