Harewood invited to train with Owls

Harewood invited to train with Owls

Former Nottingham Forest and West Ham striker Marlon Harewood has been invited to train with Wednesday over the close season, according to reports.

Harewood is a free agent after spending the end of last season back at former club Nottingham Forest on a four-month deal, where he played just four matches. That move came after a six-month stint playing in China.

The 32-year-old is looking for a new club and has been linked with a move to Bournemouth in the last week.

But Harewood, who's also played for Aston Villa and Newcastle United, could well wait and consider his options with the offer on training with the Owls.

The move would be similar to that of Jason Koumas training with Wednesday - with no deal in the pipeline but a move that favours the player in his search for a new club, as well as giving Wednesday the chance to sign him if he impresses.

Don't bother there are some players who have been very lucky to have made a career on the back of one very good season and he is one of them

We're in for Nile Ranger but the Toon are after £500k for him according to reports. On a side note, we secured Maguire for £250k. I was unsure about him but from what I understand that's a bargain!
