All change on Owls fixture list

The new Football League season is still seven weeks away but Wednesday have already been forced into changing the kick-off times of seven fixtures.

Some have been moved for live television coverage, some on police advice and one for a Freshers' Day!

As already announced, Wednesday's Capital One Cup first round clash at Oldham Athletic has been moved to Monday, August 13 for live Sky coverage (kick-off 7.45pm), while another game to be shown on television is the home game against Leeds United, now scheduled for Friday, October 19 (kick-off 7.45pm).

Freshers' Day at Brighton University has seen Wednesday's clash at Brighton and Hove Albion - the Owls' first visit to their new stadium - moved 24 hours earlier to Friday, September 14 (kick-off 7.45pm), although this game won't be screened on Sky at present.

Wednesday will host Huddersfield Town on Wednesday, September 19 (kick-off 7.45pm) instead of the Tuesday due to Sheffield United also being scheduled to play at home on the same night. The return game at the Galpharm Stadium will also now kick-off at 12.30pm on Saturday, December 29 on police advice.

The Owls' trip to Cardiff City will now take place on Sunday, December 2 (kick-off 3pm) due to the international rugby taking place in the Welsh capital on the Saturday, while Wednesday's trip to Blackpool on Tuesday, April 16 will kick-off at 8pm in-line with the Tangerines' other midweek fixtures.
