Owls split squad for friendly matches

Wednesday have announced their two teams that will take on Sheffield FC and Stocksbridge Park Steels in friendly matches on Tuesday night.

The Owls' first friendly outings of the summer will see the squad pretty much split down the middle, with fitness levels and a need to get back into competitive matches very much the order of the day.

Wednesdayites will be able to see new signings at whichever match they decide to attend. Both matches kick-off at 7.30pm.

Diogo Amado, Chris Maguire and Kieran Lee will be in the Wednesday squad that will face Stocksbridge, while Joe Mattock and Marlon Harewood, the latter on a trial deal at S6, will face Sheffield FC.

The matches have come too soon for latest signing Nejc Pecnik, who is awaiting international clearance after agreeing a two-year deal with the Owls following a successful trial.

The squad for Stocksbridge is: Weaver, Lee, Beevers, R Johnson, Reynolds, D Jones, M Jones, Lines, Amado, Maguire, Madine.

The squad for Sheffield FC is: Bywater, Mattock, Llera, R Jones, Bennett, J Johnson, Semedo, Coke, Prutton, Harewood, O'Grady.

Admission for the clash at Sheffield FC will be 6 adults and 4 for OAPs and concessions, while prices at Stocksbridge will be 7 for adults, 5 OAPs, 2 for children aged 11-16 and under-11s accompanied by an adult get in for free.
