Owls down Reading in Portugal

Wednesday secured a 2-0 win in a friendly match against Premier League side Reading on Tuesday night during their pre-season tour of Portugal.

Goals from Chris O'Grady and Mike Jones were enough to give Dave Jones's side victory over the Royals and see Wednesday bounce back from their defeat against Sporting Lisbon.

Both goals came in the closing stages of each half, with Jones bagging his first Owls goal just before half-time while O'Grady netted a second with a minute of the match remaining.

Owls boss Jones made a number of changes to the side that played Sporting on Sunday - and they paid off with an impressive result.

Wednesday: Bywater, Mattock, Llera (Beevers ht), Gardner, R Johnson, M Jones (Maguire ht), Lines, Semedo, J Johnson, Pecnik (Prutton 89), Madine (O`Grady 70).

Reading: Andersen, Cummings, Mariappa, Gorkss, Shorey, McCleary, Tabb, Leigertwood, Hunt, Church, Roberts.
