Rangers man McCabe set for Owls

Rangers man McCabe set for Owls

Wednesday are set to announce the signing of hot prospect Rhys McCabe from Glasgow Rangers.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has been looking for a move away from Ibrox following Rangers' recent plight and Hillsborough looks to be his destination, according to reports today.

The signing will be a big boost for Owls boss Dave Jones, with Wednesday understood to have battled against Premier League competition in Everton and Swansea City for the promising player.

McCabe is a Scotland under-21 international and made his debut for Rangers earlier this year.

Dont know anything about him but if premier league teams were looking at him must be decent enough. Still lacking quality in the team though as we are signing players people have'nt heard of should maybe see a few go out this week and a few arrive was at hillsborough park yesterday tried to speak with mandaric but could'nt get close enough not that he would let on anyway .....

This is wot my m8 from Scotland jus sent me wen i asked wot Rhys was like. Good young player was one that I would have preferred to stay with us, as we could have built a good young team around him

Sounds promising but it would be good to get a couple of proven championship players with a bit of quality. We're moving in the right direction though, so can't grumble. Need some wingers desperately and another up front would go a miss.... UTO WTID WAWAW?
