Owls close on Barca boy Rodri
Wednesday are understood to be closing in on the signing of Barcelona B striker Rodri.
The 22-year-old attended Wednesday's opening game of the season at Derby County on Saturday according to reports and the deal is said to be a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal.
Rodri, full name Rodrigo Rios Lozan, has spent just a year at the Camp Nou, featuring for the club's reserve side last season, and came through the youth ranks at Sevilla.
He's also played for Spain under-21s and Owls chairman Milan Mandaric said manager Dave Jones is 'very excited' about the possible signing, which could be completed today.
Jones has been looking for new options in attack alongside Chris O'Grady, Chris Maguire and Gary Madine and Rodri has been at the top of his list.
