Solbakken: We deserved Wednesday win

Wolves boss Ståle Solbakken believed his side were worthy winners as they defeated out-of-form Wednesday 1-0 at Molineux.

While Owls boss Dave Jones rued some key decisions going against his men, Solbakken said Wolves deserved the three points after limiting Wednesday's chances in front of goal.

"I thought we were by far the best team and they didn`t really have a big chance all game," he told the official Wolves website.

"After the first ten minutes I thought we were the strongest team. We controlled the game for long periods and in some periods should have made more out of our possession and in the second half could have created more chances.

"But at the other end we defended well. You are always hoping for a second goal to try and kill the game off but to be fair to all my players today they didn`t let Sheffield Wednesday create anything.'

Victory moves Wolves up to third in the npower Championship table.
