Barkley loan deal extended by Owls

Wednesday have extended the loan deal of Everton starlet Ross Barkley by a further month.

Toffees boss David Moyes allowed the hot prospect to move to Hillsborough to aid his development and the Everton youth product has played in six matches for the Owls since making the switch.

Owls boss Dave Jones said: "Ross has got better and better since he came here.

"The lad has a very bright future and playing games in the Championship will certainly help his development."

Barkley has yet to experience victory in a blue and white striped shirt but will be hoping his second month proves more successful, as a club, than the first.

This is good news, not seen the best of him yet and like Bothroyd when we do, I think he will be a great asset

Big game tonight, Fridays performance was good and should of Been won the first half, hope we've built on it but would be more than happy leaving Ewood with a point. Come on the owls.
