Corry sidelined with ankle injury

Owls midfielder Paul Corry is set to miss Tuesday's visit of Blackpool to Hillsborough with an ankle injury.

Wednesday's recent recruit was substituted midway through the 2-1 win over Peterborough United at the weekend owing to the injury and isn't expected to be ready for the clash with the Tangerines.

"He had a clash with one of their lads and I think he just caught the lad`s ankle,' said Owls boss Dave Jones after Saturday's match.

"He couldn`t carry on, which was a shame for Paul. His ankle has swelled up so we`ll let the swelling go down and take a look at it from there."

Wednesday will assess the injury in due course but will be hoping Corry isn't sidelined for too long with midfield man having impressed in recent matches.

Naturally hope it's nothing too serious. Recent injuries have been keeping key players on the sidelines for weeks just lately and we sure don't need another. On a positive note, if Corry & McCabe are able to continue their current rate of progress I reckon centre midfield is as good as sorted for years to come as both look like full internationals in the making.

When is Lines due back? Everyone seems to have forgotten him recently, he made us tick last year - and, as well as Corry, McCabe and Barkley have done, I can't wait to see him and Semedo going again.

Looking forward to seeing that aerial threat again; Reda and Llera getting on the end of Chris Lines' free kicks and corners. Just hope DJ feels the same way.
