Drew Set For Comeback

Owls youngster Drew Talbot is set to boost Paul Sturrock's attacking options as he returns to full training next week after recovering from a back injury.

The promising Owls youngster has been sidelined since netting the final goal in Wednesday's 4-2 victory over Hartlepool United in the League One play-off final in 2005.

He was set to return to action this season after missing the whole of the Owls' first season back in the Championship but after recovering from his knee injury his misery continued as a back injury ruled him out for the start of the campaign.

But Owls boss Paul Sturrock will be hoping the former Barnsley youth product will stay fully fit to bolster his options in attack. And Drew could make his comeback for the Owls in the reserve match with Birmingham City on Monday 18 September.

Drew made just three starts for the Owls last season but 18 appearances from the bench saw him net four goals in the Owls' 2004/05 promotion season to make him a faovurite among the Owls faithful. Vital Sheffield Wednesday wishes him all the best and hopes to see him featuring for the first team very soon!
