Owls youngster makes Southend switch
Young Wednesday striker Caolan Lavery has joined League Two side Southend United on a youth loan deal until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old arrived at Hillsborough in the summer to be part of the club's Development Squad and has impressed for the Owls' under-21s, resulting in former Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock taking him to Roots Hall.
The move will give the youngster vital first team experience in the Football League and he is eligible to go straight into the Shrimpers' squad for their league match against Chesterfield this weekend.
