Owls secure Helan return from City

Wednesday have secured the return of Manchester City player Jeremy Helan on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Frenchman has already enjoyed a loan stint at Hillsborough this season but returned to Premier League City following the 0-0 home draw against Wolves.

Owls boss Dave Jones had been keen to bring Helan, who can play at left-back or on the left wing, back for a second spell and has been successful in doing just that.

Championship rivals Watford had been linked with a move for the 22-year-old on a permanent move but that has not materialised, allowing Wednesday to get their man.

Brilliant news thought he was off to Watford for sure, happy with his signings this window so far, is it fare to say he's beginning to steady the ship and show what he's really capable of???

Yes!! Watford's loss our gain. Watched him grow to being one of the first on my team sheet

Good news indeed. He showed a fair bit of threat in his more forward position. Lets hope he will continue this.
