Owls confirm Wickham loan signing
Wednesday have confirmed the loan capture of Sunderland striker Connor Wickham.
The 19-year-old has penned a youth loan switch to Hillsborough from the Premier League club after the emergency loan window opened yesterday.
The England Under-21 international has been featuring for the Black Cats this season but boss Martin O'Neill has allowed the former Ipswich Town man a loan stint away from the club following the arrival of Danny Graham to the Stadium of Light.
And Owls boss Dave Jones has acted quickly to get his men, adding to the loan signing of striker Leroy Lita in the January transfer window.
Wickham will go straight into the Owls' squad to face Derby County at Hillsborough tomorrow.
