Owls midfielder makes Tranmere move

Wednesday midfielder Paul Corry has joined League One side Tranmere Rovers on an initial 28-day loan deal.

The Irishman completed the switch on Friday and went straight into Tranmere's squad that faced Shrewsbury Town last night, coming on as a 69th-minute substitute but failing to stop his new side slipping to a 2-0 defeat.

The night was one to forget for promotion-chasing Rovers, with another Owls loanee in Liam Palmer being sent off.

Corry, 22, made eight appearances for the Owls in all competitions following his arrival in S6 last summer but has been loaned out in order to get more first-team experience.

Just my opinion folks, but I'd be very disappointed if this move paves the way for Barkley's return on loan.
