Owls fans to flock to Peterborough

Owls fans to flock to Peterborough

Wednesday are set to be backed by a bumper following of supporters for Saturday's crunch Championship clash at Peterborough United.

The Owls could secure their Championship safety at London Road - indeed, it could be secure before the 5.20pm kick-off if other results go Wednesday's way - and just a handful of tickets remain for the match.

All standing tickets have sold out for behind the goal but there are still a few tickets remaining for seats at the side of the pitch, and they're set to be snapped up soon.

The Owls have one of the biggest followings in the division and they'll need to be at their loudest to help Dave Jones's men against a Posh side in good form on home soil.

Darren Ferguson's men are desperate for a win of their own to boost their survival hopes and one of the biggest crowds of the season is expected at London Road.

It's all about cliches, I know. But have you noticed how Owls fans always 'flock' to away grounds? Or the club always 'swoop' for a new player? So what about our smelly neighbours then, do they 'grunt' at the radio when their lot play away? 'Snuffle' up the occasional bargain? 'Squeal' at their misfortune or 'wallow' in the aftermath of another disappointing season?

Call me a Luddite but I've always maintained weekend matches should all kick off at 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoons - thank you Sky,(or in the case of Millwall & L**ds at 3 o'clock in the morning). Having said that at least by the time we kick off we should know exactly what we have to do in the remaining 2 games. Hopefully all he pressure will be off & we can start stroking the ball about and play proper football instead of the big hoof. Onwards and upwards.!!! UTO.

Struggling to contain the rant that kept me awake most of last night. If Nick had posted a Stats thingy I'd probably have let rip already. Maybe he's waiting until I've calmed down a bit!

The last fans' forum held at Hillsborough had MM & DJ cracking jokes and making promises. The audience lapped it up, relieved that we'd apparently 'turned the corner' and the whole event was well publicized afterwards. The one before that occurred mid-slump, Aldridge chaired that and we didn't hear so much as a dickybird about what went on in there. Well now it's Aldridge's turn again tomorrow night (Wednesday) and like every other Owls fan who had no chance whatsoever of getting their hands on a ticket I'm hoping all the burning questions receive suitable answers which are then reported back to the masses as opposed to being swept beneath the nearest rug.
