Prutton pens new one-year Owls deal

Prutton pens new one-year Owls deal

Wednesday midfielder David Prutton has agreed a new one-year deal to remain at Hillsborough next season.

The former Nottingham Forest and Southampton man, who arrived in S6 in 2011, was out of contract this summer but has committed his future to the club for another 12 months.

The 31-year-old's future at the club looked in doubt last season when he spent the first part of the campaign on-loan with Scunthorpe United.

He played a key role in Wednesday's Championship survival, however, returning to Hillsborough to make 23 appearances for the club.

I might have blinked and missed it, but are we still waiting for Stuart Gray to sign a new deal? With all due respect to Prutton & co, I'd rest easier knowing we still had a coach worth his salt.

Weve signed that winger from Burton. Mahoma I think - seems a good buy. Still need a striker though. I found my predators at he bottom of the wardrobe the other day. Reckon I could still do a job. Can't be any worse than Kim olsen

Right on cue, this morning's Star reports Gray as signing a new deal (phew!) but the length of his contract remains undisclosed... Huh?

Also pleased to see Big Mig has signed up for another tour of duty. Radon, that poll goes back to 2005/6 I think. Could do with something else. What about - How many appearances will Maghoma make before Christmas: None. 1-5. 5-10 or more than 10?
