Owls to hold open training session

Wednesday will hold an open training session for supporters at Hillsborough on Thursday and also launch the team's new home kit.

Wednesday open their Championship campaign at QPR on Saturday and Owls fans will be able to watch Dave Jones and his men prepare for their season opener at S6.

The training session will begin at 11.45am and fans can watch the action free-of-charge from the North Stand, with entry from Gate 18.

Fans will also be able to see the Owls' new home kit, and home shirt sponsor, for the first time at the session, with the kit going on sale at the Owls Superstore, and online, at the same time.

Not too late to dig out me old boots and give 'em a quick polish then. I reckon I'm still good as a 76th minute impact sub and since my appearances 'won't count' the club wouldn't have to pay OurLass a single penny!

I'm Sure OM your 76th minute entry and contribution will still contribute more than Bothroyd managed over a dozen games.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, andymac. In fairness though, you're right! I'm pretty sure I'd have got me head on the end of Antonio's throw-in too, the one that provided Bothroyd's 'highlight'. Trouble is though, the ref would probably have disallowed my goal on account of me taking out Michael Brown 'just for the hell of it' and picking up a red card in the process. On a more serious note, I can only find one shinpad so I'll have to give it a miss tomorrow after all. Bummer!

No problem OM but just to burst your bubble a little I think Little Jimmy Kranky would also have netted that Bothroyd golden goal
