Double Trouble At Hillsborough

Pop group 'Twin' left Wednesday fans with a wry smile and Barnsley fans fuming after going on a foul-mouthed tirade at our smaller neighbours on Saturday - and promptly got arrested!

The group, Francine and Nicola Gleadall, 18, were invited by the Owls to perform in front of the 29,000 crowd at half-time on Saturday to raise their publicity for their new single - but ended up being arrested for public disorder.

The PA announcer at Hillsborough introduced the act as 'two girls from Sheffield' which left the 5,000 travelling Barnsley fans to boo the act as they left the pitch - and prompted one of the girls to hurl a four-letter tirade at fans of the Oakwell club to the distaste of some of their fans.

And if that wasn't enough, the act continued to show 'V' signs to the travelling Barnsley fans throughout their song 'Come on Feel The Noise' and were escorted from Hillsborough before they could make the half-time draw.

Francine said: "We didn`t mean any harm. We do most of our gigs at schools and never have a problem."

Meanwhile, a club statement read: 'The girls had been fully briefed by club officials not to interact with supporters during their performance. The club apologises unreservedly to any fans who were offended by the actions of the group, who have been arrested and charged with public disorder.'

It certainly was half-time 'entertainment' - and you know what they say...there's no such thing as bad publicity. I don't think we'll be seeing them back at Hillsborough for a while, though...

I like that "We do most of our gigs at schools and never have a problem". No my dear, because you probably don't tell the kids to fook off!

They'll probably get on like a house on fire with the rest of Cell Block H.

they're friends of a mate I live with and apparently they're really good...will have to see what happens to their career now.

Forget what they did. They are another load of Karaoke crap pop who have been at number 1 in Latvia (HAHAHA!!) That version of Cum on feel the noize was appalling. If Noddy holder was dead, he would be turning in his grave half time entertainment ? Entertainment my arse !!! I would rather see those club footed idiots at half time trying to kick a ball straight
