Vital Sheffield Wednesday users have paid tribute and thanks to Paul Sturrock after the former Owls boss was shown the Hillsborough door yesterday.
Owls chairman Dave Allen and the rest of the Wednesday board called time on Sturrock's reign as Hillsborough boss yesterday afternoon after the Owls fell to new lows with a 4-0 defeat at Colchester United the previous night.
But Wednesday fans have flocked to the defence of the former Plymouth Argyle and Southampton boss - with the majority feel it was the WRONG decision to show Sturrock the door, especially after the Owls chairman publically backed Sturrock by offering him a new three-year deal with the club just a mater of weeks ago.

swfcowls: What can i say even Mourinho would not have got us promoted that season, what a manager. You will be remebered as a true great around hillsbourugh for years to come. The times you had here were great, it has been a pleasure to have you as a manger, all the best...
nickswfc: He's the best manager we've had since I've been going on a regular basis, but then again it hasn't been hard. I just wonder what on earth is going through his mind at the moment having just been given a brand new contract by the club.
north_stand_owl: Good lad, very unlucky to go. Have a good career...
newman87: The table doesn't lie but I'm shocked that hes gone. I thought he'd turn it round - he has done in the past and I'm sure he would have done again. Its left me feeling very unsure about the future of our football club. If Allen thinks this will appease the fans then hes obviously got things very wrong indeed. Good luck for the future PS.
welshyowl: Top bloke and top manager. Big big shame to see him go and a big big loss for this football club. For the first time in years we had a manager of whom I was confident could take the club forward. Unfortunately his hands wee tied behind his back. Sad day to be an SWFC fan.
pob: Wowsers I never expected this, kinda took my breathe away when I saw it. What a mess our beloved club is. Back to square one now.
