Hobson Ready To Roll

Wednesday fan and boxing promoter Dennis Hobson has revealed he has a team in place to take over the club that will 'excite Wednesday fans' following the departure of Paul Sturrock yesterday.

Hobson, responsible for boxers Ricky Hatton and fellow Wednesday fan Clinton Woods, has been looking to invest in the Owls recently - and is now ready to move in after the disappointing sacking of Sturrock.

He told BBC Radio Sheffield: 'We've got a source, we've got a team ready to move in now. The time is right so all I'll do is implore Dave Allen to please talk to us, it's not us who are playing for time.

'We've made all the right noises, we've done everything in the correct manner with the confidentiality agreement and stuff like that. We want to try and negotiate, we've got money to spend to throw at a new manager, we've got a team ready to come in and how can we trust him to employ a new manager and get it wrong again?'

And Hobson went on to insist his consortium are still very much interested in investing in the club despite their recent low-key whereabouts - with an exciting prospect being part of that consortium.

He said: 'I can't say at this moment in time (who it is), we've got a team ready to move in and I think it will excite the Wednesday fans.

'I've looked at 1 or 2 of these forums out there and they're saying'what's happened to the Hobsons and their consortium? I can tell you now, we're still here, we've got money to spend. It's just that fella's got to open the door to us and let's get in there and start to mend the wrongs that's already been done.'

all the blame is on Allen, but the main culprits here are Wednesdayite, if they really want to get rid of Allen then either sell him the shares on the condition he sells up and leaves, or agree to sell with him to D.Hobson or another buyer. The shares were given to all wednesday supporters, so it should be everyone who has a vote on what should happen to them - not just a few who have paid £10 to be members of a break away supporters club - Sell NOW or see the club back in the 1st

Wednesdayite have been pretty quiet on all the recent events, which is pretty worrying. They need to make a statement to tell the fans where they stand. They do represent us, afterall...

We have now gotten to the point where we need something to happen with the team and the board. Allen needs to stick to his Casinos and leave the footballing business to someone who genuinely cares for the club and that is something that Hobson seems to do. Only problem is no matter how many protests etc that take place nothing will change and Allen will keep his strangle hold over the club until it gets worse than it is now and then it'll be too late.
