Owls suffer double injury blow

Wednesday will be without Lewis Buxton and Liam Palmer for the last two matches of the season.

Both players have suffered injuries that have brought a premature end to their respective campaigns, with Buxton being absent through a knee injury and Palmer being sidelined through a groin injury.

The injury news will be a blow for Owls boss Stuart Gray but with Wednesday's Championship status long since assured, it's a case of not wanting to risk the duo with little but pride to play for until the end of the season.

It's not all bad news on the injury front, however, with Glenn Loovens receiving a pain-killing injection that will enable him to feature in the final home match of the season this Saturday against Bolton Wanderers.
