Owls target Fryatt moves to Forest
Wednesday target Matty Fryatt has moved to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.
Owls boss Stuart Gray had openly admitted he was chasing the Hull City striker on a permanent basis but Fryatt has penned a three-year deal at the City Ground and signs on a free transfer.
The former Leicester City man had enjoyed a productive loan spell at Hillsborough last term but was recalled by Hull City and featured in the Tigers' Premier League and FA Cup campaigns.
Gray continued to monitor his availability but an impressive end to the season caught the attention of a number of clubs, including former club Leicester and newly-promoted Burnley.
It is understood Fryatt was keen on regular first-team action, however, one of the reasons he wanted a move away from Hull, and has opted for Championship football with Forest rather than the top flight.
Gray will now turn his attention to other target as he looks to bolster his squad for next season.
