'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Corr Blimey!

Young Owls striker Barry Corr netted his first competative goal on-loan at Bristol City as the Robins came from behind to defeat Leyton Orient in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Wednesday night.

The Irishman made his first start for Gary Johnson's men since moving to Ashton Gate on a one-month loan deal and duly struck a 71st minute levelled which saw City go on to win the tie 3-1.

Johnson told the official Bristol City site: 'It was a great for Barry Corr to get his first-ever senior goal and he showed real persistence to make it for himself by charging down the keeper.'

The former Leeds academy product has already made a substitute appearance for the Robins after leaving Hillsborough in search of much-needed first team action to give him first-team experience.

And with his first team opportunities hampered at Hillsborough it's possible Corr could remain at Ashton Gate for a further two months if he continues to impress.
