Owls hit by Lavery injury blow

Young Wednesday forward Caolan Lavery has been hit with a pre-season blow with the news that he will be sidelined for two months through injury.

The 21-year-old suffered a knee injury in the Owls' 2-2 friendly draw at neighbours Doncaster Rovers at the weekend and he will miss the start of the season.

The news is a blow for the player and the club but Owls boss Stuart Gray told the Yorkshire Post that the set-back could have been worse. "We thought it might have been an anterior cruciate ligament injury, but fingers crossed, it won`t be that. It is going to be a couple of months, minimum."

The news is compounded by that fact that Gray has not been able to set his transfer dealings in full motion as Wednesday await the green light for the takeover of the club to be completed.

Ben 10 could be on his way to S6 again Reports claim the 23 year old is intersting the Owls. Unfortunately me thinks he could be 24 years old when it comes to fruition !!!!!!!!!!!! Stuart Gray for knighthood. Just think how we all feel with the lack of a squad and how apprehensive we are all getting (maybe not all) What on earth must Stuart Gray be thinking knowing he can get a coaching job almost anywhere in england. lets hope he gets us on his CV as a massive achievement and is rewarded accordingly. Mind you Manadaric will take all the credit he can't lose with SG being the pawn in his plan.

Wheres this come from Andy Mac? Until the takeover happens its impossible to guess who we will sign though????
Radon Barrier
Radon it was reported on another site (FLW) along with Danny Gabbidon. Just think about it for a second even if the take over is complete we still will not be buying 1.5m players Mandaric as already stated he will treat Mamas money as if it was his own. We are if succesful going to borrow him again.

Tom Lees signed for an undisclosed fee, How does that work then Radon please share your expertise ?????
andymac-scoresagoal
Not sure about that one. Leeds fans say he is dreadful, but England under 21 and 130 appearances at 23 years old. I heard it was free but if a fee was involved then won't be much. Not an indication either way that we are gonna be bringing in the big names we had hoped if the takeover happens.

Where OM gone??
Radon Barrier
I think he has gone on a scouting mission for us the saturday friendlies have started in the over 35 league

Heeyyy... Missed me? Actually, that's a question we might ask most weeks - Where Radon gone?? Anyroad. Not scouting, no. Although I hear Scunny have just signed a good 'un with a few years left on the clock. I've been reading stuff, y'know? And trying to balance some good old fashioned patience with my usual eve-of-season optimism and decided it's gonna be better this time round, guaranteed. Why? Because we won't have Dave Jones stinking the place out, that's why. Of course, we might end up being stuck with MM and the freebies and the loans and whatever else it'll take to keep us in this division but I'd prefer to think there are better days over the horizon :0) aah, that's better...

I've been trying to break a story OM. I've not had any decent inside information since I had the exclusive about Le Fondre joining us from Rotherham!!!!!!
Radon Barrier
Hate to be the one to say it Radon, but your inside info re ALF wasn't exactly decent. By the way, did that giant custard pie ever find ya?
