Wednesday waiting on striker news

Owls boss Stuart Gray is hoping for good news on his search for a new striker early this week.

Gray is desperate to add more firepower to his attack and has a number of irons in the fire, including one who he should have more news on soon.

"Everybody knows we want a striker in the building and we are waiting on one, and should have an answer on Monday or Tuesday morning,' Gray said after his side's 1-1 friendly draw with Barnsley.

"But we are in competition with a lot of other football clubs for the quality players that are available."

Wednesday have Atdhe Nuhio, Chris Maguire and Gary Madine amongst his striking options, while Caolan Lavery is set to start the season sidelined by injury.

Well it won't be OurLeon, he's joined Derby on a season-long loan. Naturally I'm hoping Stu has someone else lined up. Someone better? And NOT Billy The Pig! :sigh: What's the betting he was after OurLeon all along. Incidentally, where Radon gone??

OK the secrets out! I have been compared to Jim McCalliog in the past, I've got me ticket for Saturday, I'll bring my boots

I'm playing up op with you Brighton. I vowed I wouldn't play again after I hung my boots up at Acorn Acadmicals but SG can be very persuasive.

Okay, now this is more like it! I've always seen myself as a midfield general just as long as no-one expects me to actually move outside the centre circle. Gimme the ball 'n I'll spray it around the park. I'd be more than happy to step in til Stu can get this young French lad in through the door. I'd play for nowt an' all :0)
OurMaurice
Excellent, just gotta get OM in midfield in a Peter Eustace role and the game is as good as ours
