Former Owl Best moves to Derby
Blackburn Rovers striker Leon Best has moved to Derby County on a season-long loan, ending speculation linking Wednesday with a move for their former loan man.
The 27-year-old finished last season on-loan at Hillsborough and was full of praise for manager Stuart Gray, prompting rumours of another return for the forthcoming campaign.
Best will line-up against the Owls this season, however, after the Rams secured his services for the coming campaign after Blackburn made him available for transfer.
Gray is keen to bolster his attacking options before the new Championship season kicks-off this weekend but didn't confirm if Best, who netted five times in 16 appearances for the Owls last term, was one of his targets.
The Wednesday manager was, however, waiting to hear back from at least one of his targets early this week.
