Owls' PlusNet Deal Extended

Wednesday have today announced that current club sponsor, PlusNet, have agreed to extend their curent deal with improved terms for a further two years.

The Sheffield-based internet provider initially signed on until May 2007 but the new deal will now see them as main club sponsor until May 2009 - with their company logo embroided on Owls' shirts until the 2008/09 campaign.

Wednesday chief executive Kaven Walker told the official Wednesday site: 'This is fantastic news for Sheffield Wednesday and highlights the strength of our relationship with PlusNet. We have developed a mutually beneficial partnership between the two businesses and look forward to continuing this process in the coming years.'

PlusNet's original two-year deal with the Owls is reported to be worth an annual six-figure sum, with the new-improved deal set to benefit the Owls both on and off the field.
