Lunt Misses Foxes

Wednesday midfielder Kenny Lunt will sit out the weekend clash with Leciester City after picking up his fifth booking of the season against Cardiff on Saturday.

The former Crewe man has been in top form of late for the Owls and the news will be a big blow for Brian Laws' preperations for the clash with the Foxes - with Glenn Whelen expected to come in to replace him.

But the 27-year-old will be available for Tuesday night's clash with West Brom at Hillsborough as the ban only takes effect seven days after the caution.

Lunt has made 11 starts for the Owls since moving to Hillsborough in the summer on a free transfer from Crewe, and has become a key part in Brian Laws' plans for the season.
