Can't Beat A Bit Of Bully

Owls captain Lee Bullen was rewarded for his first-class performance against league leaders Cardiff City at the weekend by being selected in the Football League's Championship team of the week.

Bullen was selected in the right back role, even though he partnered Madjid Bougherra in the heart of the Wednesday defence, in this week's Championship team.

The reward came in light of the Owls' performance over table-toppers Cardiff City as Bullen led the stubborn Wednesday defence which managed to keep out the league's highest scorers - led by the highly-rated Michael Chopra.

And it was Bullen's last ditch challenge on Chopra that kept the scorelines level after the former Newcastle and Barnsley man was put through on goal after a mistake by Wednesday stopper Mark Crossley.

The former Dunfermline defender looks to have cemented a place back in the Wednesday starting eleven after impressing since filling in for the injured Graham Coughlan at the back.

Bully for next Owls boss? :). Didn't look forward to him coming back in to the side but he's really impressed me!
