Manager's Musings: Pre-Norwich
Owls boss Brian Laws hopes his side can take the confidence from last week's Leiceseter mauling in to the crunch clash with Norwich this weekend.
Laws admits his side will face a tough challenge as they travel to Carrow Road to take on a rejuvinated Norwich City side under the guidance of new-man Peter Grant.
But he's confident the Owls can continue their fine form if they play to their full potential - and insists the hosts will be just as worried about his side as the Wednesday faithful are of the Canaries.
He told the official SWFC site: 'We're not putting any pressure on ourselves and I don't want supporters to do that either because we'll be setting ourselves up for a major disappointment.
'We're in form - if we play to our potential, let them worry about us. We're aware of their dangers but I'm sure they're aware of ours as well.
'I think the fact we scored three spectacular goals last week shows the team are in a confident mood. Maybe the fear factor before wouldn't allow that but now they are willing to take that risk.'
Wednesday's improved form of late has led to some fans talking of a play-off spot this season, and even talk of an automatic promotion spot - with more than half of fans confident of a top-three spot according to a recent poll in the Yorkshire Post.
'But Laws played down his side's automatic promotion hopes: 'That's silly talk. When you win games optimism goes ten-fold and expectations change. But we've also got to have some realism.'
