Crossley Set For New Deal

On-loan stopper Mark Crossley is all set to extend his deal at Hillsborough until the end of the season after Owls boss Brian Laws revealed Fulham were 'not against it'.

The former Nottingham Forest and Wales international has impressed between the sticks since arriving at Hillsborough at the start of November - and Laws has revealed he wants to make the deal a season-long one.

He said: 'Things are looking very positive, but we are also keeping something else in mind for if Mark has to go back. We're letting things run for the next week or so.

'They're (Fulham) quite happy so long as nothing drastic happens at their end. The possibility is that we can also play him in the FA Cup.'

The news follows Crossley's announcement that he'd love to stay Hillsborough until the end of the season after his chances of first-team football at Craven Cottage seemed numbered.

His current deal with the club runs until the New Year's Day derby clash with Hull City at Hillsborough.
