Andrews Loan Extension?

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has revealed discussions have started with Coventry boss Micky Adams about the possible extension of Wayne Andrews' current Hillsborough loan deal.

Laws made the former Colchester United and Crystal Palace man his second signing after taking the reigns at Hillsborough following the signing of Mark Crossley.

The winger was brought in to deputise for the suspended Wade Small who missed three games towards the end of November following his sending off in the 3-1 defeat at the Ricoh Arena against Coventry City.

Andrews' arrival also allowed Small to undergo much-needed surgery to his knee - and Laws is hopeful a further month can be added to the deal to act as cover for the midfield.

Andrews has yet to make a first team start for the Sky Blues after picking up a series of injuries since joining in the summer on a free transfer from Crystal Palace - and Adams saw the move as an ideal opportunity to regain full fitness.

His form has helped the Owls go unbeaten after his arrival with a draw against Cardiff City on his debut before further victories at Leicester City and Norwich City last weekend.
