'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Manager's Musings: Pre-Brum

Wednesday boss Brian Laws is relishing the chance to pit his wits against Birmingham boss Steve Bruce this Saturday - and insists his Owls side can't lose!

Laws says any betting man would put their money firmly on the Brummies to pick up all three points and continue their fine form which currently sees them topping the table.

But he is confident his side can continue their own impressive form to pull off the shocks of the weekend at Hillsborough tomorrow.

He told the official SWFC site: 'Everyone will expect Birmingham to win - the only people who will think differently are me, the players and our supporters. I'm going to go into the game relaxed, I'm going to enjoy it, and I'm sure the players will rise to the occasion.

'It's a win-win situation - I can't lose. The pressure's on Birmingham - they've got to win games and get out of this division. We're just enjoying every game.'

The match is set to be the macth of the day in the Championship with both sides hitting top form in the run up to Christmas - and with the Owls winning five or their last six home games, a little flutter on Laws' men wouldn't go amiss.

Oh dear, my entirefootball life is flashing before my eyes. I'd prefer us to be playing (and losing to) Cheltenham in League One.
