Trialists Fail To Impress

Two trailists involved in a practice match on Wednesday will not be offered contracts with the club it emerged today.

Owls boss Paul Sturrock told the official SWFC site that one of the trailists was no better than what is currently at the club, whilst the other arrived in Sheffield with an injury and couldn't play.

Sturrock refuses to comment on who the two foreigners are, but said that the injured player may return in the January transfer window for a trial when fully fit.

He also revealed that the search for new players is continuing: ''We've been in discussions with football clubs all week and have been making bids.''
