6,000 Mancs On Their Way!

The Owls clash with Stuart Pearce's Manchester City this Sunday is sure to draw a bumper crowd to Hillsborough with the news the Premiership club have already sold all 6,000 tickets for the trip across the pennines.

Bar the New Year's Day home defeat to struggling Hull City, Wednesday have been in fine form themselves and will fancy their chances against Pearce's men - prompting sales for tickets in home areas to be going well.

Wednesday fans were upset that ticket prices for the FA Cup 3rd Round clash remained at full price, despite a slump in sales for the same tie last season against Charlton Athletic.

But they now look set to get behind their team following an impressive run of form under Brian Laws which has seen them climb to within just three points of the Championship play-off places.

City themselves have also seen a vast improvement on the pitch after a below-par start to the season which saw them hovering dangerously above the bottom three - an improvement which ironically started with a 1-0 win across the city at Bramall Lane before recording further victories at West Ham and more recently at home to Everton.

The Hillsborough faithful will be hoping for an improvement on the last time the two teams met in S6 - with Kevin Keegan's high-flyers recording a thumping 6-2 victory over the Owls en-route to promotion to the promised land.

Tickets are currently on sale by popping int the Owls Ticket Office or by calling the ticketline on 0870 999 1867 (optin 2). Alternatively, home fans can purchase tickets online by visiting https://eticketing.co.uk/swfc/index.asp and logging in with their membership details.
