Laws Concern Over Crossley

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has revealed he has a slight concern over completing a deal to extend Fulham stopper Mark Crossley's deal at Hillsborough in time for Sunday's FA Cup clash.

There has been confusion over whether the 37-year-old former Nottingham Forest stopper has officially extended his loan deal at S6 - but with the paperwork done from the Owls side of things, Laws is awaiting confirmation from Fulham boss Chris Coleman.

Laws told the official SWFC site: 'It concerns me a wee bit,' he said. 'Mark is down in London to try and help rush through the paperwork.'

'We've got an agreement with them to extend the loan until the end of the season and play in the FA Cup. At this moment in time we've done our paperwork. We're just waiting for Fulham to get back to us.'

The deal has to be completed and registered with the Football Association by noon on Friday to play in Sunday's clash with Stuart Pearce's men - but by Thursday afternoon the Owls were still awaiting confirmation.

But Wednesday are still confident of keeping Crossley, who has impressed since joining on-loan in November, until the end of the season regardless of whether he plays in Sunday's match or not. Chris Adamson will deputise should Crossley not be registered in time.
