Crossley Deal Done

Wednesday have completed the deal to keep Fulham goalkeeper Mark Crossley on-loan at Hillsborough until the end of the season - and he'll be eligable for Sunday's FA Cup tie with Man City.

Wednesday boss Brian Laws expressed concern yesterday that the deal had not been done ahead of today's noon deadline, despite all the paperwork being completed from Hillsborough.

Wednesday have been in talks for weeks to extend Crossley's deal after the former Nottingham Forest stopper impressed during his initial loan spell at S6 - which expired after Saturday's match against Hull City.

And the deal has now been completed and registered with the Football Association in time for Barnsley-born Crossley to feature against Premiership opposition in the form of Stuart Pearce's Manchester City on Sunday (kick-off 3pm).

Crossley has been a key feature in the Owls' recent upturn of fortunes, featuring in-between the sticks 11 times for Brian Laws' men to help Wednesday to within three points of the Championship play-off spots.
