'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Who Are Yer?: Derby County

Vital Sheffield Wednesday speaks to Rams fan, and Football Forum member 'Ram Pride' about his side's chance of promotion, and this weekend's clash with the mighty Owls!

-------------------------------------------

1. You've certainly impressed this season, I take it you're pleased with your position?

Very. If you'd have told me at the end of last season that by Christmas we would be 2nd, I'd of had you sectioned. Very pleased indeed.

2. Did you expect it at the start of the season? What were your targets?

Mid-table. We were told by Billy that this season was the rebuilding process. I think even Billy is surprised at how well we are doing!!!

3. How good is Billy Davies?

He has quickly won round the fans (well apart from a few moaning old buggers) and has shone himself to be a brilliant manager at this level. God could be a pretty good work to describe him at this current time, just hope we can keep hold of him.

4. And what about Lupoli? Quite a catch by the looks of things!

Awesome young player, just a shame he isn't ours!!! When he is on a run, he is just about unstoppable. It cant be too bad having Arsenal's best finisher at the club (as Thierry Henry describes him)

5. Are you confident of promotion this season, and are you ready for the Premiership?

I wouldnt say i was confident at this current time, there is still along way to go yet. We certainly have done well so far and shone ourselves to be a very hard team to beat at this level.

6. Who are your danger men?

Giles Barnes can be a very dangerous player when on form, certainly has the pace to run at defences. Our targetman Steve Howard also, as you Sheff Wed fans will know!!!

7. What are your weaknesses?

Two words, Mo Camara. Looks very shaky at left back and isn't good enough in my opinion. A donkey.

8. Any comings and goings in the January transfer window at Pride Park?

We have just bought Craig Fagan from Hull, a right winger who also plays up front. We are also about to sign Steven Pearson from Celtic.

9. What's your most memorable Derby v Owls match?

This seasons at Hillsborough. 1-0 and down to 10 men, we showed spirit and fight to draw level and then score in the last minute. We didn't half celebrate, what a day!!!

10. What do you make of our chances of the play-offs this season?

You are on a good run at the moment and if you keep your good away record and don't see why you shouldn't be there or there abouts come May.

11. What's your score prediction?

As you have a good away record, 1-1.

Cheers mate, best of luck for Saturday and for the rest of the season!
