Coughlan: Stay Or Go?

This week we ask Vital Sheffield Wednesday users whether forgotten defender Graham Coughlan should stay at Hillsborough - have your say NOW in the latest poll!

The former Plymouth Argyle defender made a rare appearance for the Owls in the creditable 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the FA Cup at the weekend - but his presence was only down to the suspension of the in-form Madjid Bougherra.

The Irishman has been frozen out at Hillsborough after going off late-on in the Owls 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace back in October through injury, with Lee Bullen's impressive performances at the back earning him a continued place in the starting line-up.

And 'Cocko's' presence on the Owls substitute's bench has led to some fans believe he will be on his way out of S6 in the January transfer window - with former club Plymouth Argyle and Paul Sturrock's Swindon Town the favourites for his signature.

But the defender may well have a future in the blue and white half of Sheffield after impressing at the back against Stuart Pearce's men on Sunday, and earning the praise of boss Brian Laws at the same time.

What do you think? Should Wednesday hold on to Coughlan, at least until the end of the season, or should they cash in on him and spend the money elsewhere? Have your say now in this week's poll, or visit the official Vital Sheffield Wednesday forums!

He has to live with the curse of the Pkayer of the year. So many times over the last 20 years has the player of the year either been sold, or lost form, He is a true rock at the back, he should stay, especially if the Majic man is going to Charlton
