Owls Set For Bumper Crowd

Hillsborough is set for another bumper crowd this weekend as Roy Keane's in-form Sunderland side visit Sheffield for a crunch Championship clash - along with 6,000 travelling Mackems.

The travelling support from the Stadium of Light, and the fine form of both sides in recent weeks, could well see the Owls exceed the 30,000 barrier following on from impressive crowds against Hull City and Manchester City.

Sunderland fans sold out the 6,000-plus tickets in the Leppings Lane end of the ground, and were unable to receive any further tickets in the North-West corner for reasons unknown.

Both sides have enjoyed drastic improvements since their poor start to the season, with Roy Keane's men sitting just a point off the play-offs while Wednesday are three points behind in eleventh.

A Grant Leadbitter strike was all that separated the teams at the Stadium of Light back in September and the clash is likely to be another close affair on Saturday. (kick-off 3pm).
